I like the figure, especially the robot mode. Nice details and paint, but I still would only grab it if I came across it very cheap.

This repaint/retool is extremely good. The Drift mold was very good to begin with but as Blurr with a new head, it is much better. The new paint job and head radically changes the look of the figure and in plain sight they look completely different. It would be very easy for someone not familiar with the mold to mistake them for completely different mold in robot mode.

However Paulbot is right, the down side of this release of the figure is that several of them seem have varying degrees of bad QC when it comes to their paint apps, particularly with the lither blue on the car mode.

I think this toy is awful.

We all know about the terrible paint quality.

Generally, as a Transformer, it's blocky, has a simplistic transformation and looks as if it came from the Armada or Energon era.

As a G1 tribute, it's equally woeful. The head mold is comical, and seems more like a goofy caricature. The earthen mode does nothing to invoke references to the original Cybertron mode. And the only thing tying the robot mode is the aforementioned excuse for a head.

Unfortunately, having a solid 1986 movie lineup is very important to me, which just finalizes the disappointment. Unless you also feel the need to represent 1986, avoid this abomination.

i like the figure, the blue suits it more then white... but i do find the "holsters" to be annoyingly present i thought they could of hinged them up a little to look like they are wings off his back...and back holsters. but other then that very much worth the buy

I wholeheartedly agree with this. Well, I don't know if I'd go so far as calling it an "abomination", so I guess I mostheartedly agree.

I would like to vote for "Only get if you want this character" (e.g. as part of completing your set of Classicsverse characters) - so I guess I'll go with "Only if cheap"

I agree with Jay and Gok. This mould doesn't represent Blurr well enough for me. It's not sleek enough and I don't think the vehicle mould is a suitable enough tribute.

For those that are unaware of my collection pattern, I collect modern incarnations of G1 characters as I love G1 but can't really afford G1 toys. For my collection I prefer Animated Blurr.

Animated Blurr is a far better tribute to G1 Blurr than Generations Blurr - he's sleek and thin, looks like he was built for speed like a cheetah. Generations Blurr is too el Chunko.

Which to be fair, its not trying to do. It's representative of Blurr in the IDW comics (where he is bulkier, has larger shoulders, a winged helmet etc)
I'm really just here for the free food and open bar.

Yeah that is how I see the toy and in my opinion, it succeeds at that.
