This was the character that I was looking forward to most. I probably had high expectations for it considering the other movie toys have been so underwhelming I thought 'surely they couldn't stuff up Shockwave as well' (considering they were virtually working with a blank canvas).

The bot mode looks good but the alternate mode looks... well, bleh! I don't know why but when I saw the pic in the first post I thought of Scorponok

I'll probably end up picking this one up and I can safely say that it will be the only DOTM toy I will get - unless something really awesome comes out of left-field, but I doubt it.

I agree. The bot mode looks awesome. If I don't buy this it will be because of the ugly alt mode.

I am in the same boat, but if they do a new Soundwave and not just a repaint of the previous ones, I will buy him as well. But looking at it, this will be the only one I get.

Me tooo!!!! that was my first thought when I saw that!
Im buying this too and some of those human driven figures, but those rehash of the core characters, nada Im only gonna get new character figs... that appeals to me.
