That Jazz headsculpt would go great as a Joker homage.
Kinda wish they'd go full G2 style on Bruticus if they're going to go with lurid anyway. Not sure if I'll pick him up or wait for a G1-esque repaint, though I do want to show some support for updated gestalts.

We are getting the more muted colours Bruticus too.

So you can choose your favourite, or just mix and match to your hearts content.

I'm still not sold on that Jazz. The head just doesn't work for me.


PS you have the title wrong. These aren't WFC, they're FOC. Completely different Optimus to the WFC version we got.

I agree. the head doesnt exactly look right when compared to this model:

that said he'll still be in my collection one day.
compared to some of the other gestalt figures that are being released, this bruticus seems a little out of place in terms of detail and proportions. I might let the G2 Loud Colours Version slide but as Ode mentioned, i do want to show my support to the gestalt make and will purchased a g1 scheme version.

to this point i still don't understand why they went out and completely changed optimus' design. the original wfc optimus was one of the best primes we'd gotten in a while, both design and in toy form. the new character design for foc just looks off. he does look like Don Fuguroa's war within optimus. but way more too squarey and chunky to my liking. and the war within optimus had a pretty neat Titanium figure, but the similar design doesn't tranlate very well on a normal all plastic figure imo.

you are right. but as far as i know the other character models only had slight changes if at all. (maybe they will put out repaints and retools down the line)and new autobot vehicles such as jazz retain the similar sleek,stream-lined "tron"ish aesthetic. the new optimus just looks out of place among his fellow autobots. AND the toy is possibly one of easiest deluxe to transform of all time.

i really do wanna like him. sadly both the character design and the toy are putting me off.
