    It's just not the same.
The toy shots are lurid, but not so-lurid-it's-funny lurid a la G2. A sort-of-steely-blue-with-lime-green-highlights missile truck just doesn't compare to a bright-yellow-with-purple-splotches scheme. Mass-release Vortex looks pretty garish, sure, but he's nothing compared to purple-cloud-camouflage Vortex. Another yellow Swindle? Pfft, boring...

Why is this g1 Optimus roaming around on cybertron in a 1980s truck when all other TFs are in futuristic modes. Surely all the other TFs would laugh at him. It's the equivilent of me turning up to a 2012 party dressed as a neanderthal.

LOL! I was so tempted to say something and joke around. But I had a feeling you would come out with your own post about it hehe

Yep, I like to be the first to admit when I'm wrong. Removes the fun of everyone pointing out what an idiot I am

I say we paint him with bright purple splotches as punishment for his lack of faith.

except that those are meant to be pre-earth modes which would make g1 optimus the cool futuristic bot.
