I think the reissue re-releases are being done by Hasbro Asia, so since they aren't being released to US retailers, they don't need the "safety" adjustments.

I can confirm that. Short missiles and long stacks.

There are people on Ode's link that are commenting that's it's not the case. Has the reissue Ultra Magnus actually been released yet? RK has it rather cheap but perhaps they and BBTS (the examples on that link) are getting rid of older Hasbro US stock first?

Yes, there seems to be two seperate orders. One of them is old, long missiled stock and the other is the re-release. I'm pretty sure I saw two different orders on RK.

I was going to put this in the KO thread but it appears that Radio Shack Galactic man is a licensed product?.

Does anyone own this guy and is the quality just as good as G1 Shockwave.
I'm thinking i need to get one.
    Was he a pre-TF???
    cheers.

He is a pre-tf toy and seems to be on par with quality, AFAIK. He is quite a rare find in box and is worthy to be displayed anywhere. The only thing different is colours and detailing.
We call this: "Shackwave", as it was a Radio Shack exclusive toy (legit) and was the only Shockwave mold release seen in Australia, as Gok will probably point out.

I used to own one - he was my G1 Shockwave when I was a kid. Quality's the same, but different colours, and also a mould variation - the trigger. Hasbro had Shockwave's trigger completely retooled, possibly to make it look less phallic in robot mode.

My Shackwave had red transparent plastic parts though (whereas the Shackwave in that photo has clear, and Shockwave is lavender).
