It may be your computer or you may have joined during an update.
I can't really help you, but I wish you luck.
Steam becomes really useful and easy to use once you get the hang of it, especially since there are a LOT of 50-70% off sales.
Hope you can get it fixed soon.

I too prefer to have the game in my hand, and since I don't play on PC I stay away. Good luck man.

I have been playing armoored core V lately and I think it's fantastic. The robot customisation is involved and choice is plentiful for making your own bot. Even making your own insignia is good fun. I have spent most of my time tweaking my bot with my limited bits and pieces.

But oh my god, the story mode. It is rather bad. Well, not even sure there is a story mode as such. You select a mission and off you go, but there are these two chicks who chatter over the comms for 'plot development' I guess. I have no idea who they are... Is one of them supposed to be me? Weird. It's so bad, it feels like they actually have tried to make it awful. The first introductory level I played was shooting stuff, people talking to me and some mech comes out, I blast him and all of a sudden there is talk of a chosen one.

My feeling after that bit was 'What the hell was that??'

Then some of the missions, for some reason I am fighting the police. Am I a terrorist? I think I am playing a mercenary, but ATm nothing makes sense story wise.. Luckily the game play is pretty spot on!

Was checking Hatsune Miku vids online to see what all the popularity was about and I strangely find myself wanting to get one of the games... hopefully Project Diva F gets a western release...

    Thanks for the responses.

I got it working: had a list of solutions, starting with "turn it off and start again" up to reinstalling stuff. Luckily the second solution - "run as administrator" - got Steam working.... but then I had to spend most of the night waiting for the game to download.
When I got up this morning it was ready to roll... but I had to go to work!!!

I still prefer having the game in hand, though.

HA HA H A! Busted! The majiks of Miku.

I hear that SEGA are looking to move Miku to western shores, but if you don't want to wait, the ps3 version can juts be played on any old PS3 console.

It is however just a rhythm game and enjoyment comes from whether or not the songs take your fancy.

Yeah, the Facebook page where Sega was gauging interest on a Western release was what prompted me to check out the vids in the first place. Her songs are okay (at least they don't annoy me) and I love rhythm games so I shall give it a try (hopefully the english version since I just hate navigating menus in a different language).

When you can get games like la noire for $3.75 it's worth the occasional stuff around.

Just finished off Prince of Persia The Forgotten Sands. It's got excellent platforming, but mediocre combat system. (pretty easy the fights)
