yeah that be true.... if i see it overseas first ill get it...i don't think i can wait until the end of the year for them to be released here and might possibly miss out on them totally ...

I guess the reason is that Takara wants to clear their stock of MP15,MP16...so Hasbro must wait, large amount of fans outside of Japan are waiting for Hasbro version MP13...pay 1 get 6...unless crazy for Takara's package...

Dollar is dropping like a stone - this might be the last 'cheap' big purchase... I hope TRUE ends up cheaper than an input
On the lookout for MISB Headmaster Highbrow, Takara or Hasbro. I'm sure I could make you a sweet deal!

I just phoned my local TRU and was told that the head office ordered 600 units of mp soundwave Australia wide, which equates to about 3-4 units per store. After the MP-10 sold out so quickly it surprises me that they would order such a small number of the product. Perhaps they'll put in a second order again as they did with MP-10.

The girl I spoke to said they can request more units but that doesn't mean they'll get them. I suggested that the item will be extremely popular and that they should request that head office order more units.

I wonder if the members of this forum were ask to email TRU head office with their interest in the item if they would increase their order as a result of the demand? Is more money in their pockets at the end of the day, seems like a reasonable business decision to me. Also everybody wins.

4 units each over 35 stores would only equal 140 units. It averages to roughly 17 per store. Seeing as there's 2 in a case, some stores will be getting more than others.

The girl did sound quite young so probably only estimated how many stores there were. 17, even double that may not be enough to satisfy the demand but at least it's better than 4.

Also sorry, I didn't know how many TRU stores there were, I was just quoting the girl. Well hopefully many OTCA members and other transfans are able to get their hands on one of these.

I was gonna say...since when did we have 150 TRU stores in Aus? 600 units at 4 per store? Those numbers don't add up.

I don't think the delay has anything to do with Takara trying to clear out their own MP Soundwaves. If you look around they aren't exactly plentiful (quite a few of the big online retailers have sold out), otherwise the prices wouldn't be $240+

Hopefully the delay is similar in nature to the Prowl release date i.e. they didn't anticipate the sheer demand for a Hasbro MP SW and have gone away to mass produce more

Also, they probably took it down from the TRU website because of the insane number of people calling up every 3mins.

If anyone missed out on the first run of Takara MP Soundwave, a second run is scheduled for release end of September. $134.90 at RK. Also available for pre-order with a few other online retailers such as tfsource
