They are a big company, if they went ahead with a dedicated department that concentrated only on producing collector grade toys similar to how Tomy does the MP line, then they would gradually reduce the demand for 3rd party items - Fans have demonstrated that they will pay premium for a good quality toy. Instead they like to make things that shelf warm and lose retailer confidence.
    I reakon Hasbro have released more version of Batman then bumblebee pretty sure I have the 100th batman figure Hasbro made and that's going back 10years and even the 200th which is batman beyond and who can forget I own about 30 variations of R2D2 obviously this work as a sales tactic as all Hasbro ever seem to release these days are Transformers and Star wars and why would you worry about anything else when these two are probably the biggest IP's in history and these 2 alone would generate enormous revenue(i'm totally oblivious to what girl toys Hasbro make other then my little pony)Hasbro have been applying this tactic for 20+ years and its been so successful they'll do it for another 20years. IMO Hasbro probably have tried to do something but really not much gets done in china especially if its a Western country saying whos boss maybe its up the individual retailer or person who buys this to get strict and not order product from these guys is the only sure way to police this.Or even Hasbro can go after these online retailer that are located outside china.Like BING! a bing search will not give you any results if you type in piratebay where google if you do you can access the piratebay directly from google piracy is a huge business for these guys and there's no way to stop its really up to the individual and really its only since the micheal bay movie that we have been haunted by 1001 bumblebees before that there wasn't many

    Hard to say, we could end up with impressive wings in the final once they are painted.

    I am having a hard time deciding which is better.

    Is there a link to the mmc version or any release date scheduled yet?

    Some time between now and the heat death of the universe would be my guess.

    The wings and sword are the ONLY thing I like somewhat in that image, but overall only the recent images of the armoured figure have sold the toy a bit to me. If that were the final product it would be Maketoys hands down for me.

    Yep, they have basically made a whole new sculpted toy with the same engineering as G2 Prime. So if you are familiar with the G2 Prime and the Battle Tanker upgrade, you know what you will be getting with this from an engineering perspective.

    That is what is also appealing about MMC, he does have 'novelty' value. However I will agree that Maketoys' aesthetics are both more comic and 'Classics' styled.

    Although there could be a huge change if MMC decides to take queue from Maketoys in the color scheme department.

    Here some of Nova Primes comic appeareances for reference:

    MakeToys

    MMC

    Aside from the legs, MMC seems to be more accurate. Maketoys legs are different because of the Battle Tanker engineering and MMC seems to have taken artistic liberties for a more modern 'mech' look. Although it is on the eye of the beholder as both are similar enough with considerable differences.

    @Kup

    I miss the Master Collectibles version though, that definitely was the version I most wanted.

    It is certainly a contender but it seems to have died.

    Edit:

    Yep, it died:

    I'm opening this thread regarding Mastercollectables. Does anyone know what ever happen to this company at all or anyway to contact them? The reason I'm wondering is because one(almost two) years ago they came out with orders for their limited NOVA PRIME figure which at the time being naive, I purchased for 540 shipped for a resin figure. It has been almost two year with no figure being received. I email them probably 3 times a month starting as of the beginning of this year with no response what so ever. I basically lost hope until during the month of May I received a random email from Mastercollectible stating that they are considering the figure cancelled. They promise they will issue all the buyers of the figure a refund toward the end of May due to them not having access to paypal so their friend will have to do it. Of course I was glad to receive an update but it is now September with no refund or any response once again from this company.
