It mostly is, but there were queues to get in, plus food stalls were outside for lunch, and there were a few pavillions to walk between.

Next year it won't be an issue, as it's scheduled to be in the Convention Centre.

Why do sellers on ebay have a tendency to add "What you see is what you get" referring to the photo in the item description but when you actually receive the item, it is clearly another of the same toy but damaged or of a noticeably lower QC standard?

If you didn't receive exactly the same thing as what's in the photo, you have the right to ask for an exchange/return/refund. "What you see is what you get" should mean exactly that. I would let the seller know so that he or she can offer a resolution, before I left them feedback or took it to the Paypal Resolution Center.

Yeah, already send a message. Been buying stuff from ebay for a few years now so I know the drill. It's just annoying that people can be so dishonest.

Sure thing. But just in case someone new to eBay reads it it may help them, maybe. And yes, I agree with what you said about dishonesty. Anyway, I hope it all works out.

Wow, on an unexpected but welcome turn of events, the Ebay guy proposed to refund me 2/3rds of total cost. Although the toy is not in a great condition; for that amount it's worth it and I believe I can fix the paint defects on my own.

I tend to forgive 'vendor' type sellers for this as I know what to expect since they copy and paste descriptions over multiple listings.

If it was a more 'private' seller I would be crying fraud.
