The thing to note is that Rattrap's head/brain piece looks to be transparent as well, so the gun pieces would be cast in the same piece of plastic.

I'm going to take a stab and say that the Takara version will have a chrome head piece (and thus perhaps chrome blaster) where as the final Hasbro version will just be grey.
