Nah, the photos play tricks! My G1 figures are pretty banged up! It was lucky my parents stored them in a box for about 10 years after I moved out!
The ones in best condition are actually Ultra Magnus and Omega Supreme, which is great. It's a shame the electronics on the Omega dont work anymore, but everything else is in great condition. My worst condition figure would have to be Megatron - lots of chrome wear on that!
