The collector coin doesn't do anything for me. I've just got rid of a few at bargain prices for a fellow member to enjoy. The Amazon exclusive anti-hypnosis accessory, on the other hand, is a welcome addition.

Just noticed from the link that RK has removed the 5% discount for MP Wheeljack. They did mention that the discount will end 1.5 months before its release or earlier. In this case, it's earlier!

+1. I'm gonna preorder from Amazon... I'll wait until they confirm their preorder discount price before cancelling my HLJ preorder though (juuust in case). Worse case scenario I might end up w/ a spare MP Wheeljack which I'm sure I can sell off to someone else.

so would it be a bad thing not to pre order? Might sound silly but my reason is that i have moved house and will be moving again (just sold and in between properties) in 6 months.

Preordering from Anime-export or HLJ is safe as you don't have to specify a shipping address until you're ready to ship.

I would have signed up for a parcel locker and not worry about where you move.
PLUS you can collect it from the elocker 48hrs and if you don't just get it from the post office.

Did I mention parcel locker are free?

HLJ, Anime Export, BBTS, Amazon, Robot Kingdom etc, been surfing them all to find a good pre-order deal for Wheeljack.

I wonder how hard it would be to set up an Aussie company like that. I'd happily quit teaching to run it if it would make a profit and Aussies could get their toys without paying enormous shipping rates.

I've been using the Auspost parcel lockers since they first rolled out and they're great - I highly recommend them to everyone. 24/7 pickup for the first 48 hours so no more racing to the post office by 5pm to get your missed deliveries. Just be aware that they do still need a street address (of the post office) so it may not be convenient after a move unless you work nearby and aren't changing jobs. They also don't accept deliveries from third parties (couriers - UPS, TNT, FedEx) yet. The wording can be confusing but anything that would be delivered by regular mail is fine, including airmail, SAL, EMS, even iParcel.

Personally, I'm not sure the market in Australia is big enough to make a living exclusively selling transformers. For a small retailer, and especially if you want to sell the expensive third party items, the risk of unsold inventory is too high and could be crippling if you make a bad call on which products to stock. Also meeting obligations under Australian Consumer Law as well as import duties and GST could add significantly to your overheads. Not to mention that Australian domestic postage is relatively expensive so it could cost as much or more to send something around the country as it does to ship from Asia.

I could be completely wrong, but that's my 'gut feel'.

Will not be easy, as you be competing with established reputable online stores.

For me, I never FedEx or go expensive shipping as yet, other than EMS due to size of the item. I even have two parcel lockers location. Best part is SAL uninsured or registered is secured in the locker, no drop offs to the door step and worrying if someone steals it.

I have not encountered any issues other than the item was too big and just needed to go to the Post office and collect the item which is still better than a "we missed you" slip in your letter box.
