You referring to Dynamite version or Bandai's SOC?

In my own opinion, the SOC would be more figure accurate in terms of split robots. In terms of just toy fun, go Dynamite version.

The Dynamite version looks like blocks, quite streamline.

The SOC is definitely more natural. Not too blockish.

The Daimos could be obtained at reasonable prices I think.

I don't think I can help with Volts V. My humble opinion is to wait for a reissue as they did for Combatra. The Volts V is a popular robot as many asian countries did show it on their television in the old days.

Only have the black version of Golden Lightan, but it's still nice.

hmm....I am not sure you gotten the Godaikin DX version which is definitely way bigger than this SOC version. You might have gotten the ST version which is shorter? There is also a hybrid version in between.

The godaikin version stands pretty tall. I do not have the piece with me as is back at my dad's home.

I think you can score below $380 for this. Saw them for 22,000 yen.

below are pics of the hybrid "custom" and the actual godaikin box
