How safe is it to buy off Chinese sellers on ebay?

I've never ordered from China before as I normally can find the item elsewhere for a similar price. I've looked up the items I'm after (Hasbro Deluxe DOTM Soundwave (I'm going SW completest) and Encore Cassettes 17) and haven't found any warnings about them being KOed, at least in legit colours, size and packaging.

I'm just wary because of the amount KO's that come out of China.

I'd call it safe, since none seem to have been KO'd. I've had nothing but good experiences ordering stuff from China or HK and it's usually cheaper to boot. I would go with any preorders though, just to be safe, just in stock items.

It's safe as long as you're sensibly cautious - you've done the research on the toys, which is great - the other half is ensuring you're buying it from a dealer with a long history and the right amount of positive feedback. If they don't have a bunch of negative feedback about not sending items or selling knockoffs you should be fine.

Ok thanks. I'll grab these items while I can. These sellers only have negative feedback from inexperienced buyers amounting to stuff I find trivial and not worth making negative feedback for.

Heh. I actually had that in the sentence originally, then deleted it in case it was still a sore point for some people around here.

@DELTAPrime: If you do get it from Chimungmung, it's usually a week and a Half for items to arrive but there are times it's pleasantly less than that and just about a week. He's HK based so a bit faster than from China mainland that takes aaaaaaageeeessss.

Never used him, whats his postage fees like?

His price on Encore SB is much lower than BBTS or even ebay so I may as well get it from him if his P+H is reasonable.

Yeah checked there among other places as to if there are KO's of the ones I'm getting from China. Turns out one of the Chinese sellers has already shipped what I've ordered.

We had a rash of people buying things of ebay with prices which were to good to be true, They all got sent Santa hats instead of the item they bought.
