I've been hard at work on some commission pieces (mostly not Transformers except a restoration job on a G1 Scourge), but I have done some work on panel lining and detailing. Updates to come in the next few weeks, once the commissions are delivered.

    Thanks for the interest!!!

After finishing 3 or 4 commissions in recent weeks, I finally got back to Metrotitan.

Firstly, I took Gamblor's suggestion and used a 50/50 mix of white and clear to highlight the glow effects. It had the added effect of softening them up a little and I'm super pleased with the results. Thanks for the input Gamblor!! Any more advice you give me is going to be followed like it's the law.

I also did some panel lining and touch up work - about an hour or 2 on one leg, here's a pic of the almost finished leg with the un-touched up one:

I'm going to need to touch up some of the blue with the airbrush, though, as the panel lining didn't come out quite as clean as I would have liked. After that, it's pretty much going to be hand painting work only.

    A knee:

And finally, some detailing on a hand (not yet finished):

I've had a bunch more commissions (some TFs, some not) come in recently, so if I want to get this guy finished in a reasonable time (ideally before Hasbro announces a release of their own!), I'm going to need to juggle multiple projects the next few months.

Damn son, looking mighty fine as always. Look forward to seeing the hand done, it really shines. Looks awesome.

Very nice work. I like how you picked out the detail in the hand.

More hand shots, one completed with detailing and panel lining (except for a protective coat):

Tonight's busyness will include some fancy footwork...

Will you be able to disclose the techniques you've used to paint this figure?
I'd like to know how you did the glow effects along with the finger tips.
