I have pre ordered the metallic version. Was waiting for the chrome version to compare but after seeing the metallic version along side fan toys chrome, I realised the chrome actually looks shit!

I must be one of the few who are not into this guy?

I don't like his "young looking" face.
I don't like how the dino legs remain visible on the legs in robot mode.
I don't like how his chest is all clear.
And maybe it's just in some angles, but I don't like how his shoulders and sides of his chest are half way up his head? Makes it look like he's constantly shrugging?

I love his size though. And the yellow paint is growing on me over the chrome. After heavy considerations though, I think I'm sticking with FT.

^ your not the only one. He does look good, but there is something about Fantoys version that just clicks for me can't really explain it, it just does. I love the chrome and look.

We are just lucky enough as fans to have choices that cater for most of us.

Thanks for hte heads up. I placed a preorder too, but I'll be impressed if they can honour that price. It's the same as they've got on their FansToys dinobots. Unless it's some kind of earlybird discount.

I paid up front at robot kingdom. Seems like a pretty good deal given that the retail on the figure should be US$199.

I'm torn. I much prefer the cartoon look but this looks amazingly designed to the FansToys stuff.

There goes my idea of sticking to FansToys or my MPs...
