MP-09 already looks perfect for me, but if they can do just Hot Rod, spot on to the cartoon but in a size similar to the MP cars i'll be interested.

im glad i got my mp09 late in collecting, if it had been my first i probably would have stopped with it and never got any others its that bad, but i knew how bad it was before i bought it ,i just wanted a rodimus on my shelf and mp09 will do until something better arrives

I have the first release MP-09, but i had none of the issues reported with it. It can be tricky to transform perfectly no doubt, but aesthetically it's probably the most accurate of all the Masterpieces.

    All this.

I love MP-9. At this point I only have the Hasbro version but will at some point PCI up a Takara version (hopefully in a reissue). But if someone released an accurate HotRod in scale with the other MP cars I'd be all over it.

Looks great! Will this be the same size as the MP cars?

That is some impressive backpack collapsing, and it actually looks really cool, but for me i just wanted an MP car sized Hot Rod, so not really interested.
