What a load of shit Nintendo's E3 thing was this year. Starfox was a major disappointment - gameplay looks barely changed from Starfox 64 and the graphics aren't much better either. A rubbish looking Metroid spinoff. I forget the rest cause it was either crap or just games they've already talked about. Less info overall than just an every day Nintendo Direct. It reeks of them moving resources to NX imo... will not be surprised now if the new Zelda gets made cross platform like Twilight Princess was.

The only new thing i'm looking forward to this year is a goddamn Ryu Amiibo!

I was quite surprised with the starfox Assult level of graphics on the new one, and no new real metroid game... Sigh.

Yes very disappointed with the remake of Metroid Prime Hunters. But on the other hand Xenoblade X finally has a release date. Looking forward to that.

My initial reaction to the FFVII remake was less then I thought it would be. 5 years ago I would have been ecstatic but now... I think I'd rather they just made a movie out of it in the same style as Advent Children with lots of cool fight scenes (I love Advent Children).

The trailer that really impressed me was Horizon: Zero Dawn. You get to hunt robo-dinosaurs! Between that and Uncharted 4 a PS4 is looking more attractive for a Christmas present.

Yep, that's the general speculation. There is crap all announced at E3 because everything is moving towards the NX now. I haven't seen new Starfox yet but word is that it was the highlight of an otherwise very lackluster presentation.

The new 3Ds Zelda and Metroid games sound to be fillers rather than proper games. Kind of how Hyrule Warriors is not a proper Zelda game.

Like with the PS3 - I will wait for the PS4 to populate their library with more exclusives I would be interested in playing (Uncharted 4 being one of them). Then I will wait till I can get a PS4 cheap.

EBGames have what looks like a reasonable deal for the PS4 at the moment, $498 and comes with GTAV, The Last of Us Remastered and The Order. I might take the plunge...

That's the thing though - You can't really miss a game. Once released you can buy it and play it whenever you want.

I didn't play God of War 1 until I bought a PS3 about 3 years ago and played the Collection one with GOW 2. I never owned a PS2. You can play currently released games years from now and chances are they would be remastered in some form.

For single player games that's the case but if the multiplayer community of a game move on, there's nothing to replace the experience.

True that but it all depends on how enduring the game is too. Some go for years and years.
