    Haha nice story mate.

Incidentally did anyone happen to save a screenshot of the $70 Trypticon clearance page?

Bruised Lee posted some useful info in the other thread about TRU's online order system. And it sounds like many other PO system: Order comes in, gets fulfilled by the store which is of your choosing or allocated by the system depending on the postage address and stock availability.

Who knows why they're still being sold in store but you have an official response which is its a price error.

But judging by your posts I don't think any reasonable explanation short of giving you your transformer will suffice.

Wow, you.... you really just aren't getting it are you. Many of us have talked about the customer service and moral issues with the company not being honest with its customers and Gok has talked about their legal responsibilities such as if it was a pricing error then of all items should have been pulled and then restocked if they were not going to honor the orders made at the old price. You keep arguing in favour of their official response and repeating it over and over - we understand their official response ok. We are smart cookies - we get it! However their official response does not gel with the actions they have taken as a company such as not recalling stock and still haphazardly selling the figure at either the old or new price. Plus many people are annoyed that TRU were not truthful from the beginning about the issue - this is what folk are trying to get you to understand.

If putting it in the form of a childrens story doesn't clarify things I could move down to one-syllable words and basic shapes and colours but I think I've done my part. Someone else can take up the gauntlet - maybe read other peoples posts if you don't understand mine. To be honest I think you and I are sadly building up a history of what I am saying going over your head. Or better yet just block me altogether mate - then you never have to hear from me again

Actually, don't bother reading any of my stuff or replying. Read Goks post and the links he put up. If we are simply talking about policy and legalities rather than poor customer service (which the majority of my rants are about) then that is much better for you and addresses what you are speaking of more. I don't believe either of us is going to change the others mind and you will probably enjoy that debate more.

Good luck and sorry I got a bit facetious in my last post. Happy reading

No I'm just trying to get my point across.

Read the terms and conditions which was even in their reply. Notice no such term or condition exists for in store purchases.

So yes they will probably honor the price if you get your panties in a knot in store but online they dont have to.

Their explanation in their reply to you might not be 100% of the story but bottom line is you bought it online, it was a price error so they cancelled your order as per their terms.

But here's the important part: If you purchase online from them then you agree to those terms. Pretty simple isn't it?

Never mind mate, I've understood ya point but you are still missing mine and ya not gonna get it if ya havent by now. I'm not going to keep beating you over the head with it trying to get you to understand, that will make for a boring read for everyone, yourself included.

Take my suggestion and move your debate on to other users and I shall do the same

The issue is that TRU email response, while factually true, expressed no sympathy or regret for the position that they have put their customer (Trev) in.

At first Trev, I couldn't work out why you were so angry, because TRU had at least given you an explanation as to the circumstances. But, I get now that the issue is not so much the content of their reply but rather the manner of their reply.

I have only ever bought one TF from their website, and while I didn't have any issues with it, the let's just say unusual state of the online systems is why I prefer to shop in store, which until recently was relatively easy as there were 3 stores within about 30 minutes of me.

BTW - Love story time with Trev. It reminds me of the Being Awesome podcast that the RFC crew hosts.

They were apologetic in their cancellation email but yes getting the customer's name wrong who in a reply to an angry email is never good.
