Just also checked using Delta Prime and it should be free postage to Tenso address. So atm how much is the exchange rate using credit card? Is there other fees when buying internationally? I have relied too much in paypal when buying online

Each bank has their exchange rate on their website. Using a credit card will almost always attracts foreign transaction fee (usually a percentage of the purchase), though some credit cards have this fee waived.

Todays $A/¥ is 85, this is what would be used if you order it tomorrow. Taking the ¥27,000 price plus ¥5,000 for shipping converts to $376. Then add 3% international transaction fee gives $388. So really the saving is insignificant compared to PC's price of $400. It's more about locking it in because it's clear PC only has a handful of units. Still it might sell out in seconds so we could still miss out.

I was just yesterday shopping for a new credit card (ANZ cut back the points on their rewards program). Given how much I shop internationally, the fee on international credit card transactions was important. After checking the Westpac terms (all the major banks would be the same), the FX rate posted on their website is not the one used to convert the FX on a credit card. Rather its Mastercard, Visa, Amex etc that use the wholesale or interbank rate from the day before to determine the rate. This is good that the bank's own FX rates are not used, because they are a rip-off!!!

You are correct that some cards waive the fee, usually these are the cheap, non-rewards cards.

Two sides to it. It be cheaper than most retailers
But I remember PC sold mp-11t even cheaper than going through this entire effort.

Also depends on jpy exchange.
