Scrounge was a minor character in a single comic book, but served to show the severity of Decepticon rule under Straxus, and his death lead to Blaster choosing to take more significant action against the Decepticons.
Kinda like Biggs Darklighter in the Star Wars saga - minor character with significance to one of the major characters.
He's also memorable as being one of the first Transformers to actually die in the comic book (compared to deactivated even apparently irreparably like Sunstreaker) as well as being one of the first non-toy characters introduced in them.
But I think generally it's also partly because he's one of those characters who's obscure enough that you'd never think he'd ever get a new toy.
Time for the toy debut of Dipstick.
変われ! ヘッドマスター! Kaware! Headmaster!
戦え! ヘッドマスター! Tatakae! Headmaster!
We need a rad new Reflector with a cool camera mode and a lens on one of them. If all else fails maybe Takara will release him.
Seeking the Following:
- CW Brawl
- Earthrise Runabout
- Earthrise Thrust
2010 Legends Hubcap would probably work as a decent starting mould, there's not too many "retro" looking moulds in play atm.
But apparently no Leozack, Jallguar, or Deathcobra (not that I would expect there to be a Deathcobra, all things considered, lol) since the main body is said to be Deathsaurus.
Might be worth getting if cheap, but I can't consider that thing Liokaiser.
Makes me glad I'm going the 3P route for this one
I could go in for a Tappet, if the Dipstick idea ever came to fruition. Easy remold.
I suppose they could make the unofficial "Lynx mode" transformation official and call it Leozack, but it would only really homage the Breastmaster, not the toy as a whole. Deathsaurus is a better choice.
I'd still like to see them release an Optimus repaint as Scourge (not Grand Scourge) with Combaticon repaints for the limbs, by the name of Ruination for the combined mode. "Mega-Octane" would at least work as the name for the car/chestplate member. It might be a good way to get Takara's shuttle mould out there for the western market too.
