I'm not sure if this has already been posted, but I know I've read most of it before. Interesting stuff regardless.

Bit late to the party but that was a great read. It's amazing how well the film turned out considering how little many of the key players had to work with. A tribute to the professionalism of all involved. Also funny to read that the drafts had a more gratuitous version of the shuttle boarding scene. Thankfully it got toned down, not for the childrens sake I say, but rather I think it would have been distractingly over the top![]()
On this day 30 years ago, the *other* greatest animated transforming robot film of all time was released in Australian theatres, a full fortnight before the Transformers hit the big screen.

Was there a local release of the 30th anniversary blueray?
Someone recut the movie into a "modern" trailer - not bad, not great, an interesting curiousity.
