Big Shot is as Gok says, the weakest of this first wave.

But while they’re not cheap I’m overall happy with these guys. As a fan of Micromasters since 1989, I’m aware the G1 versions are now that old the plastics can be brittle. Having a poseable Roadhandler (And others) with new plastic is worth it for me.

Whether these represent good value for a kid with no memory of the G1 toys? Yeah I’m not so sure. Good little toys but expensive.

And if Top Shot is gang moulded with parts for Flak (instead of being all done as a whole assortment lot), then at least make the wheels grey like Flak's.

Really? I find Roadhandler the weakest of the wave. He is a very generic sportscar with no little details to break up the red such as perhaps some silver or yellow on the headlights, and his robot mode has a huge hole in the chest. Also I think his and Swindlers combined weapon mode is far weaker than the other two groups.

I do agree that Topshot would have benefitted from a bigger cannon and black wheels. But at least you can rotate the turret on both axis, giving him some good play value, far more than a red & black car.

Still, to each their own. It would be a boring old world if we all liked/disliked the same things

Yeah, I think the two cars are just kind of boring, but I absolutely love the other four - especially Top Shot and Flak.

To be fair theres a hole in the chest of the g1 red car so its g1 toy accurate

The combined mode is non existant for the cars.

Do you find the build quality as good as the originals? I think they are great little updates but to pricey

    Micro Masters, Mega regret.

I picked up Roadhandler and Swindler the other day on a whim. Boy do I wish I hadn't wasted my money.

Cheap feeling plastic, Roadhandler has rounded heels making it tricky for him to stand, Swindler's arms are seriously hindered by his shoulders. The only have one extra point of articulation (a waist), than their G1 counterparts.

Roadhandler's feet don't make a smooth connection when in vehicle mode leaving a gap. SWindler is a nice enough looking car, but that colouring...

    Weapon mode is just rubbish.

Final nail in the coffin, the price, I payed 1200yen for mine and I feel I was ripped off. TTMall has the rrp listed as 2000yen. I'm not normally one to bother with rrp and stuff, but these guys are just not good value for money.

About the only thing I like is their small vehicles are good fun to vroom on the tabletop and other base-bots. But I could do that with other toys too.

I'll be passing on any more of these guys. Unless they pop out a Sports car patrol, but do I want to sully my enjoyment I had with my G1 ones with (a probable) inferior version?
