If there isn't then you could complain about false advertising

Well, my non-tf acquisition for today was another 12 months of Rego. It set me back a total of $685.20 (inspection + Green Slip + RTA fees) & I can't even drive my car at the moment (alternator is currently getting replaced by an Auto-Electrician Family Friend).

You've gotta luv spending money on Rego/Repairs for the car... *deep sigh*

Is that a normal price for 12 months. Have no idea how it works over there, but its $200 here for a year worth of rego. Over the year you also need two Warrents at $50 each.

Big box day from the USA, thankfully purchased when the dollar was better. Sadly postage was purchased at the lowest rate..

I think the overall price depends on what type of car you drive, how new it is, how old you are, what state you live in etc. (When I got my P's some 10 years ago, I remember my Rego coming to a total of approx. $800)

Oh & is a warrent some sort of vehicle-inspection?

Loophole, can you get rego every 3 months in SA? If so, is it better off doing it that way or paying 12 months of Rego at once? (ie. discounted rate)

Oh & that alternator I mentioned earlier in the day, A reconditioned one installed set me back $180... but atleast the car's running now

you can either pay in 3,6,9 or 12 month lots and it does work out cheaper the longer you register it for
