Transformers questions by newbies, and not-so-newbies

I guess this is as good a place as any to ask this. Been reading through the Marvel TF comics for the first time in years and I got wondering, did we ever get them in Australia, back in the 80s and if so, did we get the UK comics, or just the US ones?

I do remember picking up a couple. But since I was only born in 1984 my memory of that era is not amazing so I have no idea how common of a sight it was to see a TF comic in the wild in the 80's and early 90's.
