Ah so that's the mold that Universe Fireflight comes from. I'll chase that down too at some point. He is very cool.
I haven't been quiet in the last month either and actually set aside time last Tuesday to update all my acquisitions (which took me about an hour to set up!) But after searching for the pics on all 4 home computers, I've come to the conclusion that my mum's deleted them either b/c a.) she needed space on the camera, or (more likely) b.) she's not very proficient w/ the camera and accidentally deleted all the pics (or c.) she just was sick of me buying all this crap and wanted to erase any memory of it).
So anyway, without pictures I can't thank the board enough b/c that's were 90% off my acquisitions have come from in the last month. I was gonna thank them with the pics but now since i don't have them I just want to give a huge thanks to i_amtrunks, Dirge and, last but definitely not least, llamatron.
First, thanks to i_amtrunks and then k.wong for all the trouble they went to with helping me save on shipping. Dirge too. I'm very glad to have the Energon shield and Dark Saber too after all this time as well as G2 Blast Off w/ card.
But biggest non-pic acqusition comes from llamatron. Thanks big guy for the Axelerators and Rescue Force all MOSC. Both, especially the Axelerators, are childhood favourites. They were the tail end of my collecting and they were the ones I remember clogging the shelves the very last time I walked through the toy aisles as a kid. After that it was cricket bats and pads and footy boots and sherrins. I remember the Axelerators very fondly. Their shiny little guns would always go missing and I'd scrounge around the laundry or unfolded clothes pile (where I played TFs) to find them. I'd always seem to lose one but then mum would later find it. Eventually the guns were lost (when I started to care a lot less about TFs) and eventually the base figures were sold off w/ contempt. I remember so glad of getting rid of them at the garage sale. It was almost like a badge of honour which in hindsight was quite ironic given they were among my favourite toys next to the Turbomasters. Also from llamatron was the red RiD Sideburn for free. One of the coolest alt modes I've seen. Thanks mate. Very memorable acquisitions and among my acquisitions of the year. The tough question is whether I can bring myself to opening them from their minty MOSC packages.![]()
Onto more acquisitions:
- SC-17 Wing Saber
- GC-22 Wing Saber
- MC-13 Red Hot Shot
Thanks heaps to FFN. I always looked forward to this package from the very start and then when I sent off your Big Daddy I thought why didn't I send one of these too. But yes, these were a lovely part of the acqusition too:
From retail and my last acquisitions of the year so I can concentrate on some other priorities:
- Dropshot (for lcz128)
- Treadbolt x 2 (for me, I love this mold a bit too muchand not to mention the good price I managed to nab all 3 Voyagers at I couldn't help but fall in love again with this ugly twin sister)
- Acid Storms courtesy of the missus
- Jetstorm/Jetfire two packs (1 for me and 1 for my closet collecting friend who likes his combiners a bit too much despite my recommendation against it. But rest assured, I'll get the bogan to sign up someday)
- Robot Heroes Waspinator and Rhinox from TK (will start up a thread about this)
- Battle Damaged Optimus Prime from TRU: I passed on him at Highpoint and then came back the following day and there was the only one left.
- Premium Ratchet: courtesy of that selfish Jaydisc fella
- TFM Battler Ironhide: also courtesy of that abovementioned fella and thanks for the price matching. Now I have an Ironhide I can transform!
And lastly these are Con's acquisitions which I took the liberty of sharing on his behalf:
I am so envious of your Nightbeat!
