Lubbly jubbly indeed! Very glad to hear Cyclonus doesn't sport that most foul PVC grey. Hope to see some of this stuff here in January as well as the new Dinobot (I can hope)!

Actually it is the PVC grey but not the one with the swirly pattern or a very opaque finish. It's the one with the tiny glitter bits to give it a slight metallic look, which doesn't really work all too well.

On that topic...This may be a stoopid question, but I cannot for the life of me figure out where to store his extra missiles. I heard they clip under his wings but buggered if I can see how/where.
Anyone know this one?

This is not available locally. This is from the postie courtesy of RK and the slightly energized dollar. Am very pleased with the lot. Cyclonus' colours are actually much better in person. He might be a tad too dark but the grey used isn't the typical Hasbro grey (ala Classics Starscream). Speaking of SS the repaint of him is much nicer, more closer to the Masterpiece edition. Inferno is just plain gorgeous.

That animated Grimlock in the box, although its robot mode, is that just a packaging change or is it a snazzier version of Grimbo?

More like Competition Taekwondo. Karate's not silly enough to expose their groin like that... not traditional Karate anyway.

Just got back from my first ever pre-dawn shopping experiance, with the all-night trading of Westfield Chermside (33 hours non-stop for most stores). Did any other shopping centres in other cities do this (the 24 hour Kmarts don't count)? Chermside did it last year as well, and I only remembered at work when it was mentioned on the news. It was a last minute decision to go (Chermside is the other side of the city, so takes about half an hour with no traffic at night), but glad I did. And if I remember next year, I'll see if anyone else here wants to do a meetup and pre-dawn toy hunt.
I got there a couple hours after work (2am) and shopped until dawn (4.30am). The place is certainly a lot bigger than the last time I was there (recent expansion puts it at the 9th largest shopping centre in Australia, apparently).
With six of the seven major-chain toy sources in this country in the one location (BigW, Kmart, Toyworld, Myer, David Jones, Target, plus Coles and Woolworths for small toys), they just need a TRU to move in and it would be a one-stop toy hunting ground. There wouldn't be too many shopping centres in this country that have that sort of toy convenience.
Anyway, after almost 3 hours and $350 later, I didn't do too bad for a pre-dawn Christmas-eve toy run - I managed to get all but 2 items I was looking for.

From Myer, I got a 25th Optimus for $80 (one back corner is a little dented, but is one of the 'best' I've seen so far - darn kids...), plus the TFs Risk game for $25 (the cashier thought it was an error because the price sticker said $70, but I assured her that it was in the catalogue. It completes my set of 3 Movie board games).

Then from Kmart, I found the last Special Edition Drag Strip. There was one Megatron there as well, but none of the other two, which means I'll have to go back to Kmart Sunnybank to get one of the Oppys I saw there yesterday. Also bought some movies for me, and someone else for christmas.

Didn't find anything in Target or BigW (most of the stores were pretty bare of TFs), and David Jones wasn't open for the all-night trading.

Went off to Woolworths to look for the 3 single packed Animated Legends, and found that they were still on sale for $6. Unfortunately, they only had Op and BBee, so I'll have to get Prowl later elsewhere.

Checked out Jayjays, who were in the process of unpacking some new stock, including TFs tshirts (one I hadn't seen there before either). They also had a nice shiny purple Decepticon symbol on a black tshirt in the store for $20, which I almost bought.

Stopped in at JB Hifii on my way back out, and ended up buying several DVDs...

No piccies, as there wasn't anything special. And I'm tired, so need to get some sleep now. Have to make sure I finish up the '12th day of Christmas' photo when I get up later too, or else I'll be in trouble...
