Myer 5-day 50% off second toy offer

I saw signage up at my nearest Myer store, so am not sure if this is nationwide or just for certain states (as some Myer offers can be localised).

For five days (3rd to 7th December) you can get 50% off a second toy that is of equal or lesser value... that is NOT with some other offer. (in other words, I don't know if sale items have to be charged at full price, or you get the sale price at 50% off - which would be pretty good for the two Platinum sets currently on sale)

I went into Parra today and they said it's not applicable to sale items

i think it is pretty sneaky on them as they are currently having a toy sale with some items are cheap as they are doing straight up mark down.... so one have to be carefully and see whether buying the 2nd item at 50% off is cheaper or just straight up mark down..
