In the case of Need For Speed, it depends on the game. Some games have Volkswagens, some don't. Volkswagens appeared in Need For Speed: The Run, from 2011, but not in Most Wanted or Rivals.

Really, I haven't seen a Volkswagen in any recent NFS. I have skipped the ones people think are terrible tho like The Run.

Apparently the text says that it comes with two face-plates, so it sounds like the gold Bumblebee, which I think had the toy-accurate face-plate.

Assuming Ironhide comes out Dec/Jan as well, that'll make 3 red cars in the space of 3-4 months too. I know they're different cars, but don't they try and avoid stuff like that?

why would you want it fail? 21R was never meant to be Cliffjumper -he's a Porsche.
If TT really wanted to go the route of cheap repaints, they would have rebranded and promoted Tiger Track as Sunstreaker.
