As the 21st of March approaches, and the impending flood of these Japanese toys... we get to see the packaging to look out for, with photos of Bumblebee and Strongarm in packaging.

The 17 Adventure toys in wave one are...

    Transformers Adventure
    TAV01 - Bumblebee (RID Warrior) - March 21 (2700yen)
    TAV02 - Grimlock (RID Warrior) - March 21 (2700yen)
    TAV03 - Strongarm (RID Warrior) - March 21 (2700yen)
    TAV04 - Steeljaw (RID Warrior) - March 21 (2700yen)
    TAV05 - Fixit (RID One-Step) - March 21 (1600yen)
    TAV06 - Underbite (RID One-Step) - March 21 (1600yen)
    -
    TAV07 - Roadblock (light green/purple redeco GEN DLX Scoop) - March 21 (2700yen)
    TAV08 - Gurijiba/Greenjeeper (mid green/orange redeco RID Warrior Strongarm) - March 21 (2700yen)
    TAV09 - Swoop (black/red/grey redeco Animated DLX Swoop) - March 21 (2700yen)
    TAV10 - Slug/Slag (purple/red redeco Animated DLX Snarl) - March 21 (2700yen)
    TAV11 - Bloody Knockout (grey/black/red redeco Beast Hunters DLX Knockout) - March 21 (2700yen)
    TAV12 - Dreadwing (dark blue/gold redeco Beast Hunters Dreadwing) - March 21 (2700yen)
    -
    TAVVS01 - Bumblebee Vs Steeljaw (same decos?) - March 21 (4800yen)
    TAVVS02 - Grimlock Vs Greenjeeper (same decos?) - March 21 (4800yen)

    Transformers Adventure (Gimmick)
    TED01 - Bumblebee (RID Hyper-Change - same deco?) - March 21 (3800yen)
    TED02 - Grimlock (RID Hyper-Change - same deco?) - March 21 (3800yen)
    TED03 - Sideswipe (RID One-Step - minor redeco) - March 21 (1600yen)
    TED04 - Prowl (AOE One-Step - minor redeco) - March 21 (1600yen)
    TED05 - Junkion (AOE Power Battler - blue/grey redeco) - March 21 (1900yen)

Just note that some are not from the RID cartoon, but are just being released under the same banner... possibly as it was easier and cheaper than creating another "series" and packaging to sell to retailers.

Wave 2 items that gets released next month (April) were on display at a Japanese convention... and despite the massive amount of wave 1 items released this week in Japan & Asia, wave 2 is just three toys!

Two "non gimmick" and one "gimmick"...

    TAV13 - Nemesis Prime (black/aqua redeco RID Warrior Optimus) - (2,500yen)
    TAV14 - Ultra Magnus (Beast Hunters VOY - minor redeco) - (4,300yen)
    -
    TED06 - Big Optimus Prime (RID 3-step - minor redeco) - (3,600yen)

The odd thing here is that in the Japanese Adventure (RID) toyline, they are releasing a black redeco of the Warrior Class Optimus toy, before the regular version... IF they ever release the regular coloured version as a toy in Japan.

Sigh, we already know everything up to TAV-20. I wish they would show them all off and start JP retailer preorders.
I have a list of all G1 characters that have been released in CHUG form. You can find it here. Please feel free to let me know if I got anything wrong so I can fix it.

Drat, I was going to get Ultra Magnus but REALLY HATE those additional micron ports added to Japanese Arms Micron toys. Decisions, decisions...

Some more images of the April TAV toys - Ultra Magnus & Nemesis Prime.

The Japanese Ultra Magnus is darker than the Hasbro "Beast Hunters" version.

After getting my first wave in over the weekend, I was surprised by the extent that Takara has gone to in order to hide the QR codes on the bots while in package. Every single toy had a plastic covering over the real sticker, with a larger fake sticker.
