Looks like the focus is really on the interaction with artists now, after the last 2-3 years of growing numbers in the Dealer Room... we now have over 20, and is a big selling point for FunPub now.

I think there will be fans who will like this, as interacting with past or present official artists, is at least one way of being able to immerse themselves with people responsible for bringing characters to life. So if there aren't any Voice Actors of interest, there is now at least someone there that may have had a hand at visualising a specific character, or can draw one for them.

I just hope that FunPub don't end up taking this lazy/cheap way of have "guests" at BotCon in future. A balance of both is preferable.

After someone only just recently tracked down the kid who featured in "Season 5" of Generation 1 (Jason Jenson), he's now going to be a guest at this year's BotCon.... along with the Voice Actor Director of Gen1 Wally Burr.

This will be third BotCon for Wally Burr, with his previous two being in 2004 and 2005.

I hope FunPub learnt from the mistake of not prepping the VA for Blaster last year (Buster Jones), as you could hear a bit of Blaster in his voice, but he didn't remember how it went, or who his character even was.
Give this guy some copies of his episodes (or links to youtube if they are on there), and get him remembering what it was like before he shows up to answer questions about it.

Another one of the Rescue Bots cast is joining the team at BotCon - Maurice LaMarche, who plays Chief Charlie Burns.

And FunPub have just released their annual CGI promo for BotCon, this year it is a dance-off between Blaster and Soundwave.

FunPub have announced one more guest, which they say is their last for this year - Glenn Morshower, from the three Transformers Movies.

Not sure what the big deal is, but the people at TFW (a small number of people) are going nuts over him being a guest.

As the deadline for pre-registration draws nearer (June 11th), FunPub have also released updated images of their boxset box, and Strika.

One of the people from FunPub have had to emphasise a couple times now that this year's BotCon toys are a second series of Machine Wars, NOT a homage to Machine Wars. (so expect more roped in characters)

A press release about Glenn Morshower's attendance.

This brings the total number of special guests attending BotCon to seventeen, making this one of the most star studded BotCon’s ever!
Not really... on both counts (that all 17 guests are special, and that it is the most star-studded ever).

A schedule of events has also been released by FunPub, for attendees to start planning their weekend.
