A pity they weren't listed here first, but you probably wouldn't have got as much for it, as there are American collectors with deep pockets out there.

A slight retrospective here, but there have been some great Beast Wars lots on eBay recently, listed (of all places) in Australia.

These three are from the same seller:

    Season One Lot
    Season Two Lot
    Season Three Lot

What's remarkable about these are the end prices: $255, $265 and $305 respectively, and the average price per figure in each:

Lot 1, with 12 items, at an average of $21 a figure
Lot 2, with 13 figures, at an average of $20 a figure
Lot 3, with 8 figures, at an average of $38 a figure

With a clear focus in each lot on TV show characters, that makes for some good buying. Congrats to whoever picked them up.

If anyone else is keen, there is another lot, again on eBay Australia of all places, but from a different seller: Another Beast Wars Lot It's in its final day and still very cheap.

Being a retired collector sucks. I miss the thrill of the chase

TRANSFORMERS: DEICIDE -- The Beast Wars 20th Anniversary Comic Book series that could have been...
TRANSFORMERS: UNITY -- the BotCon 2016 Comic Book that should have been...

Does anyone dare break it to this seller that he has a bunch of 1991/1992 Chinese G1's?

I think even the El Greco ones came out later too.

Looks like the old style labels, they graded plenty of things wrong until they got schooled.

The gold box Prime looks sweet though!

Even if they are the Chinese releases - they still got impressive grades. Still, no way are they worth those prices.

I don't get people who expect four figures (+ in this case) and don't have many super detailed pictures of the items.
    I still function.....................while killing threads. ;-)

Yes, the El Greco release of Defensor was about 1991, not 1986 as noted on the AFA label in that ebay listing.

I would have to assume that someone who has a significant enough interest in collecting Transformers to have acquired rarities in that condition, and to AFA grade a number of their collection, would be a member here...

But even if they are and would know that those prices are 10-100 times their actual value, they probably know that there are enough deep-pocket collectors out there who will pay any amount to have something like these toys Mint in an AFA case.

Did anyone here happen to pick up an incomplete Beast Wars Tripledacus from Japan?

I was sitting on it for a long time but then decided not to grab it. Would have been a great bargain, but the missing launcher and wing missiles would have haunted me.
