I took Beachcomber with me as my travelling partner this year.

Will post later about today's events, but wanted to post this photo before I go off to pick up the pre-reg toys.

We need a green with envy emoticon!

Hope you took a spare empty suitcase with you for all the goodies Griffin, or the postage costs are going to be killer!

& you found all those in stores? I thought there wouldn't have been any left (given all the scalpers that lurk around Botcon time)

Actually, the toys were being released to Cincinnati stores only, and some toy dealers had already been going around to them and buying up all the animated toys. We went to a TRU and the entire endcap was stripped clean by a group of toy dealers just this morning. The only thing left was some Bulkheads (which I got). The ones we (the people on the pre-con tour) ended up getting, were sourced from a TRU that hadn't yet been stripped, because it was about 40minutes away. I'll be keeping an eye out for the dealer with all the Animated toys at 2-3 times retail.

Make up a big "scalper =>>" sign and stand next to those dealers.

Also show us the GI Joe transformers. C'mon, it's the next thing they'll do, I'm surprised they havn't already.

I thought this Megs was a fan-made photoshop effort:

    Guess I was wrong.

bleh? Maybe i'm in the minority here but to me these seem to be the worst BotCon toys ever.

The concept sounded good, the execution was terrible. Hope the comic makes up for it.
