The latest puke-fest reality TV show we have to put up with getting the ad's played 60 times a day for - "I'm a Celebrity- get me out of here!".

Well guess what? You are not much of a f'ing celebrity if you have to go on one of these shows! It means you are a c-lister celebrity at best who will do anything to get back on TV, including degrading yourself and making yourself looking like a total tosspot .

I hate reality tv with a passion (in case you couldn't tell) but the celebrity ones in particular sicken me. Like "Celebrity Rehab". They are so desperate to reclaim some imagined former glory they will parade their problems in front of the world. Even though I would never do it personally, at least I can understand unknown folk doing these reality shows as its probably their only chance to ever get a tiny taste of being well known.

What is really sickening with this particular show is that Merv Hughes is on it . C'mon Big Merv - you are a former Aussie Cricketer and a freakin legend! What the hell are you doing on a show like this?!?! You should be better than that mate!

The UK version, which has been going for 14 years (there are a lot of "former" roles listed next to the names of those people), is basically an attempt to relaunch a career or are desperately short of money and need some sort of attention/employment.

Speaking of bad reality TV... I've been noticing a fair bit lately on American unscripted TV shows (like COPS, those Tow-truck shows, Judge Judy, etc), a lot of regular citizens are starting to pronounce "ask" and "asked", as "aks" - like, "I aks him where he was". It's like some lazy pronunciation making its way into regular Western vernacular, which will filter into Australia eventually, like everything else in American culture.

In Futurama, everyone says 'aks' in place of 'ask'.

You're the first person I have heard of that is watching this show. When the NFL was on Monday mornings, 7 mate would advertise it to death. I got sick of it before even watching an episode.

Was nursing the bub so hadn't gotten round to switching over to Letters and Numbers so was subjected to a few minutes of Eddie Maguires Million Dollar Hot Seat!

What an f'ing farce! The first question I heard was:

"Which two 'The Block' contestants were twins?"

    The second question:

"What colours are the circles on a Mastercard Credit Card?"

F*** me! Thats not general knowledge! Thats touting your own networks TV shows and giving some extra advertising to your sponsors!

For fricken shame Eddie & Channel 9! I'll stick with Letters & Numbers on SBS. Sure you can only win a dictionary rather than a million bucks, but at least its not a pile of commercialist crap!
