The only thing that really makes that big a difference to me about the new version, is the gun, and even then it's not perfect. What I'd really like to see is a 4th party make a transparent orange replacement for the barrel.
According to RK online site, they are offering 2 versions of this guy.
With laser (pointer) canon. Note there may be restrictions in importing this version to Oz.
With light up (LED) canon.
