I happened to be near my former address and as awkward as it was, I decided to pay the new resident a visit and politely ask if they'd received any package from Japan. They had and happily gave me the box. What the hell am I paying Australia Post's Redirection Service for if the box was just sent to my old address?!?!? Just as well the new resident didn't chuck the box out, and just as well someone was home when I happened to be driving by, because I don't live near my old address. Needless to say I'll be having unpleasant words with AU Post sometime in the near future about this. I'm also curious to know when this package did actually arrive (I didn't ask the resident as I already felt bad enough imposing on a complete stranger; I made my visit as short and sweet as possible) - mostly because I do keep tabs on how long packages from Japan sent to me takes, and this recent one may very well throw the average postage time off if it had arrived much earlier but had just been sitting at the old address for days or weeks or even a month. Cos currently I've just put yesterday's date as the "arrival" date for this toy, which makes it forty days since it was posted on October 30! :eek: That's nearly twice as long as the next longest wait I've had, which was MP Wheeljack (23 days). I'd like to know how long it actually took.

Every now and then i fret that important mail gone to an old address after we moved and the redirection has ended... there's so many places you have to update your address these days! Maybe shit is still getting sent there now that i don't know about! Once my car registration expired and i supposedly missed 3 letters before finally receiving a very nasty one about paying a fine ... but that was definitely bogus because we'd already received previous renewals! Ugh, horrible memories. Then I think they changed it so no one got renewal letters at all, what a pita!

At the first place i rented, for a good 2 years we received "questionable" magazine subscription renewal forms, presumably for the previous tenant. Wife wouldn't let me continue them but the brochures were nice! Given the type of content, i never bothered to inform the real estate agent, and no one ever came a knockin' :D

I just looked at my pre-order list and not only was I surprised about how many I had on pre-order, but how many were actually already out in market upwards of a year ago. Still waiting on FT-Willis and TR Sentinel Prime in particular.

Oh well, they will come. Just need to keep patient. I have no room to display them anyway so I guess PC are just saving me storage space. Always a silver lining :p

I often feel a little bad for quietly waiting patiently for something while to myself wishing they'd hurry the hell up and then when I do eventually get said item I still don't open it for months afterwards. I still haven't opened UW computron. :o

I received a response to my email of 25 Jan (post email issue being known) today which was chasing up a response to an email of 15 December (pre email issue being known).

Some points that may be relevant to others:

1. If you are still waiting on TR Sentinel Prime then you may need to get a refund as PC are worried that their "supplier has not delivered the required backorders for several months now, and we are losing faith on our end to promise we can supply." I am personally willing to wait until they know for sure that they won't get the stock.

If you have enough blue, grey and red paint, you can paint the Topspin up to look like Bomb-Burst. From memory, I think Bomb-Burst/Blood had a similar vehicle-mode as Topspin.

Does anyone else get the feeling that you will always have to wait for stuff.
Anything I buy from reputable suppliers or even member sales always seems to take longer than usual. I have never had that purchased on Sunday, delivered on Wednesday result. Everything I have bought has always taken at least a week and a half before arriving.
I purchased MP39 and reissue MP12 on pre-order in late October and am still waiting, getting kinda painful now seeing all these arrivals of MP39 coming in.

Recently saw this video about Why We Don't Like to Wait (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MjYw2BaI6hs), and I think one interesting point that it brings up is that waiting makes people anxious as it creates feelings of uncertainty. And often businesses can alleviate these feelings not even by reducing the wait time, but by simply addressing anxiousness and uncertainty. And I think the most pertinent example for online stores would be simply telling people how much time they have left to wait for their orders.

As this video points out, people who were told how much longer they had to wait for something to load felt less anxious than those who were given no information at all. I think that one possible way that online dealers can help to alleviate consumer anxiousness is to simply keep people updated about ETAs. If the ETA of a toy becomes delayed then just tell people. You don't need to email everyone who's preordered the toy, just make single public posts. And of course, be professional and courteous about it.

I think it's the radio silence that many of us experience from some online dealers that drives us nuts, and it is because we are given feelings of uncertainty which feeds anxiousness, and this in turn leads to frustration and even anger. So surely addressing the feelings of uncertainty in the first place will help to arrest all the other negative emotions that would spring from it. And we aren't unjustified in our feelings of uncertainty either as many of us have had orders completely fail to arrive. Voldemort Collectibles is the most notorious example, but I've personally have had orders fail to arrive from TLTC (although I did receive refunds) and I have a long outstanding order from TBI with no word as to what's going on.

Waiting in traffic is often frustrating because it creates feelings of uncertainty and anxiousness. But I find that when I sometimes stop at a red light where the pedestrian crossing shows a timer, it helps to alleviate this feeling as it indicates when the next light change will be. And in some other countries all traffic lights have timers, including the lights for motorists. So you might arrive at a red light and see that you have say 90 seconds to wait and watch the seconds count down towards 0. It's probably the exact same wait time as lights without a visible timer, but simply being able to see the timer can make the wait feel less frustrating.

I’ve ordered from EB click and collect for a preorder before (Pokemon TCG boxes), and I received no notification, I just rocked up on the day and they had them waiting.

On the other hand, when I ordered Doom and Wolfenstein II for Switch as in stock click and collect items, I got notifications right away on mobile and email. Preorders probably have a lot more floaty of a release/stock date.

Gambled on a Kingdom Voyager from Target. The odds aren’t in my favour for a Cyclonus, but I wouldn’t be super disappointed with Primal. It should really be communicated to Target and these other stores that no one is willing to buy from random assortments. They’d be making truckloads of money if they simply put up the individual figures for order.

Unfortunately the lack of online sales may party convince these stores that people don’t want the figures, which is inaccurate.
