Rick Astley.. what?!? don't give me that look... I grew up with this guy dominating the airwaves... plus I saw his concert here last November pretty nostalgic.
Also just finished listening a while ago to Regine Velasquez (Low Key Album) while I was cooking dinner - she's a Filo artist so no one here other than Filos might know her - but youtube her and you'll see how talented she is.:)

I'm in the middle of doing marking atm, and I'm one of those people who finds music distracting, so I need quiet in order to concentrate. Yes, I know other people find silence deafeningly distracting. Continued here (http://otca.com.au/boards/showthread.php?p=337218#post337218) :)

Their early stuff was good. But they went seriously downhill when they went big. The dance classes that my wife used to go to did a ballet to Boiler once. That was pretty bloody cool. And I just realized that I don't have any Limp Bizkit on my iPod. Will have to fix that.
Anyway I'm listening to Ixnay on the Hombre. Fantastic album. One of those ones you just want to crank. :D

The Sword - The Frost Giants Daughter
Ever since I played their song Freya on one of the Guitar Hero games, really dug that song, then never really got into em lol. Saw them at Soundwave 2011 and really found they were great, so I ended up picking up their first 2 albums. Saw them at Soundwave this year too. Sludgey Doom Metal, quite wicked.

For current music on radio > I like Nathaniel's 'You'
I think when I hear this song it reminds me of 'music' and a bit of the past. I am so glad he made this song as it bypass a lot of crap music that are made these days and age.

An old late 90s instrumental alternative rock band from Brisbane - Budd (http://youtu.be/hoY1U9U_QSo). This is far from their best work but they are usually at the top of my playlist when I'm hitting up the downhill tracks on the MTB
Used to sneak into pubs like the Headlands at Austimner to see bands like them before I was 18.
Ah the memories :)

I've seen Queens a few times, once in Adelaide opening for the Smashing Pumpkins, but NIN?
2005: 3 shows (didn't see Brisbane)
2007: 7 shows (5 (bris/syd/melb/melb/melb) + 2 (syd/syd) rescheduled later that year). Melbourne shows @ The Metro were A. MAZING. Especially show 2 where they played "Last" from the Broken EP.
2009: 2 shows (forget festivals, I flew cross-country for two "Sidewaves").
Just bummed that, as a Perthie, I can't justify the expense of Sydney/Sydney/Newcastle, purely because of the Nullabor flights. Weird schedule for this tour, but hey, I'm catching what I can.
For this run? Queens are just some really fucking great icing on the cake!
