Yeah that thing looks great, this plus GBWC galleries plus build fighters (rewatched first series, stopped watching try after a few eps to watch unicorn for my first time) make me jealous, im between houses living in a tiny room at the in laws, no room for any setup and getting itching to build/paint. Met Joshua Darrah yesterday, his sinanju stein prompted me to finally grab one (also grabbed an MG ZZ during the 15% off ebay, found one for 75.50 lol, but then i see the new Ver Ka poll and ZZ is way out in front /sigh). Speaking of ZZ anime, gave up on that wow...

I have a couple of Gundam fix metal composite.

I got the following
Rx-78 first version is cool enough I didn't bother with origin ver
I also had pyscho mk 1&2
Unicron and banshee both normal version.

They are okay but can be a bit fiddly when playing. I found metal builds are more articulated.

However like every fan there will be some that argue about metal build not being screen accurate while Gundam fix is being ver Ka accurate.

Both have its pluses just depending what you looking for.

In terms of collectors value, the mb triple in value over Gundam fix.

For me, is just about nicely made Gundam toys. I should be buying moshow 1/72 strike but it is really out of place in my cabinet.

I would have supported moshow all the way as they don't restrict stocks like stupid bandai does.

I couldn't fault much, well when you compare to red frame and amount paid this is by far a better piece. Almost tempted to buy the raiser again just to combine but I think that's just wasting money.

Yeah I was on yhe fence about whether to buy the Qant, i know 160 is a good deal, especially for what it is, but with a higher mortgage and the first bub on the way I was going to pass. But then this, and seeing it gone from collectorsdrift's page, made me look back through the pics of it and want it more! :-(

On the MG side, I picked up a cheap as MG ZZ then the next day saw the poll for the next ver ka. Its finished now and ZZ won by a bit, but whether it means anything or not? I got a tri-stars zaku II 2.0, Sinanju Stein, Barbatos 6th form and a Barbatos (to put the big gun on the 6th form if I can, but also to use the frame to make both the Gusion and Gusion Rebake (I like the fat one, dunno why).

3 more weeks and I should be able to get back into painting. Have MG High Mob Zaku and thr gundam vidar or preorder at HLJ cos I'll have some stuff in warehouse by then, but beyond that I probably wont get anything for a long while until my backlog is between knee and waist height lol.

Points wing is not my favourite pg build a lot of its armour fall off easily. If it bothers you, you might just want to glue it in.

Finally finish building the MG 1/100 RX-75 GUNTANK, a refreshing change from the usual mobilesuit kits.

Its been a while since my last Gundam related build as this kit is the first I've seen where instead of having water decals, it has rub on ones instead which is less time consuming for sure.

Robot spirit are scaled slightly smaller than 1/144 if not that scale, I never collect them so didn't look into it.

That's is what is based on. Bandai did not make a metal build red version of it.
Yes is just another colour.

Just opened mine, up close the plastic does show, from a distance is okay, wished it was better but at least they done it before bandai did which is stupid of bandai as they have the mould sitting in their factory.

Update on moshow Qan[t], seems they've put the gundam head on a weird robot, and the weird robot's head on the gundam, guess this tries to circumvent copyright since you have to disassemble?

Either way looks amazing, might be back on the bandwagon depending, I've just listed some kits on ebay because I've gotten a bit more realistic about my collection aim and time to build. Although after not doing anything gundam wise since september when i sold my house, i finally settled down on monday and threw together 1/100 barbatos 6th form and gave jim the big gun and sword from the first barbatos kit so he's over armed. Was happy with it and immediately started my kampfer.

That's fine :-) a quick check at work and i thought it qas actually like a pretender shell, until I had time to look at the rest. It looks great, id never be happy with an mg after seeing this. Shame I have so much future funds tied up and just had a baby hah. Transformers are still first priority (*drools over fanstoys omega supreme).

My blue frame arrived and I am liking this piece two times better than my red frame with flight pack. The white for starters doesn't look as plastic white! Huge improvement!

Love the rocket packs, bazooka and the anthenna sticks in unlike the red frame!

Metal Build Seven Sword reissue with new gun has been seen on Tamashii show room or event.

I be skipping this unless is ridiculously cheap as the KO ones are pretty well done, I would consider a Bandai red if its done in better red plastic. I have the special gun ordered

Gotten my f91 and I have to say this, is by far one of the best metal build by Bandai in quality.

You want to make sure you do all in one hit, I think Bandai will ONLY do it for Japan only and internation once if not twice. I forgot the link.

if you bought it from a official local distributor they should be able to help you .

also GBWC 2017 is almost here . For those who would like some more information regarding GBWC, particularly the rules, the SMASH website has been updated to include all relevant information. Drop off times have not been announced yet however I would assume it to be early Friday afternoon

Thanks for the ideas. The kit was purchased from HLJ. Broke a core fighter landing gear and lost a 1x1 mm sticker. Apart from that, the kit turned out OK.

Looks nice the full led colour one but it is too expensive for me and I no longer do model kits.

The mb qant OO is overpriced for what they selling $395 and increasing without the full saber is ridiculous. I settled for my moshow

Yeah, you're right. It's an exclusive but it's a little different than the original MB Strike Freedom. Some extra tampo and whatnot here or there to make it a little more "exclusive" than the original. Still going to sucker me to getting one I suspect :D

The 1/144 RG RX-78-2 Gundam is a lot of fun to build. It is a snap-together kit with good articulation and detail, with stickers rather than decals. The stickers are nice and thin. Build quality is good and parts fit together quite snugly. It's only around 12 cm tall so it will be easy to find a place for it on the shelf. It's also reasonably priced from Japanese retailers, especially when the AUD is doing well against the JPY. It will cost around $50 or more from local retailers.

So I know this thread has been quiet for a while, but I just got into this Gunpla stuff - does anyone have recommendations for good places inside Australia to buy online? AFAIK Toyworld is the only place in Canberra that stocks Gundam model kits, and their range is fairly limited (though great for someone just getting started). I know Hobbyco in the QVB has a decent range but I've seen a lot of complaints about their service, and their website is super light on info regarding stuff like shipping costs.

Little Robot are my go to, as they are based in Perth. They always keep their community up to date on stock arrivals so you know they’re not shipping from overseas warehouses. Huge range plus they have other model kits like Star Wars.
