Yes guys, I KNOW, just pointing out "isn't a waste of the mould?"

Too late :( Almost found MP SW and AS.
No worries, I'm sure they will be on shelves here for at least a few days if not a week or two.
I couldn't wait for the local release so I managed to grab one when they were available on the toys r us website and used a U.S forwarding company. I used the cheapest shipping options and it only just arrived yesterday. The yellow eyes don't bother me as I've got the Hasbro in alt mode and my Takara in robot mode. The best thing about it is all the cassettes in the one package. The packaging is awesome and I'm surprised its in flawless condition after a long journey. All up it cost me just over $150 US dollars. I'm over the moon.
The yellow eyes is the best variation on the Hasbro version IMO since G1 Soundwave's eyes were originally yellow anyway! It was only the cartoon that had it red, but the original toy (and Microman toy) had a yellow visor, as did the G1 comics, story books etc etc etc. Soundwave had a yellow visor in the majority of G1 media. :)
Mine arrived from my friend in the states who managed to grab me one. Considering he is going to be $150 here and I would have to get it shipped from whatever capital city a mate found it in to my bush town, I think I maybe spent $15 more than what he would have cost me if I had waited. Just gotta wait a few days until I finish helping my mum move to a retirement village up here and then I can finally have a good play with him!
Sure, and TakaraTOMY's version already caters for that. I think it's cool how Hasbro's differentiated their version and made it more every-other-G1 media accurate. :) They did the same thing w/ Rodimus too, although that toy was a cosmetically lazy execution of what was a good idea. Looks like Hasbro's done a better job this time around w/ Soundwave.
Sinnertwin is right. Frenzy is blue and Rumble is red in every original G1 media except the cartoon where it was switched. At least in the English language version. The Japanese version switched it back; hence why the blue/purple MP Cassette robot is called Frenzy and the red/black one is called Rumble. The whole colour confusion thing with Frenzy and Rumble has never existed in Japan (they have their own other silly unresolvable fan arguments that we don't have in the West though :p)
Have you seen Transformers Zone? (if not, check it out - lots of kewl Micromaster action :D)
There's a human character from Earth called "Akira." Do you think he's a boy or a girl? Akira can be a boy's or girl's name in Japanese, it all depends on how the Kanji is written (similar to how some Western names can be male or female depending on spelling); problem is that in the ending credits, manga and all other official sources, Akira's name has only ever been written in Katakana so officially we don't know if it's the masculine form (明) or feminine form (晶). The relatively recent Transformers Dreamworks book describes Akira as a boy, but then we have images like this and this and this... coupled with the fact that at the end of Zone, we see Cain give Akira a bouquet of flowers. Uummm... 'kay... :o So officially Akira's a boy, but some fans will vehemently argue that s/he's a girl - and it's just one of those fan debates that never ends.
...I personally don't care...
Have to admit I caved and bought tru soundwave from evil bay :p then recently purchased another from a forum member on a us fan site
I really don't want to miss out when/if this hits our shores..... Then are all gone in a week
I think I am going to take my chances and wait for the Toys R US release... I have Takara MP Soundwave and the cassettes so I won't be to upset if I miss out.
Well at this rate with so many people ordering these from overseas, it shouldn't be so hard to find one here, God forbid they end up shelfwarming:D:cool:
We get everything last here, I guess. Still waiting on Titans Metroplex then I attend to these.
