    I voted Furman

But there was some great 80's stories from the X-Men.

I can't remember who wrote the Days of Future Past and Phoenix Saga I think they were from the 80's??

Chris Claremont and John Byrne. And the Dark Phoenix Saga and Days of Future Past just sneak into the beginning of the eighties, so yes they were. (The [adjectiveless] Phoenix Saga was from the seventies.)

Finally (two months later) we have a result...

After 4,785 votes, Simon Furman came 16th! (Out of 53.) And Bob Budiansky came 37th. Pretty good indeed, particularly since the only writers who beat Furman were Chris Claremont, Walt Simonson, Frank Miller, John Byrne, David Michelinie, Alan Moore and Larry Hama. Some damn illustrious company there.

    That's great news!
They certainly seem to be surrounded by great names but I'm very glad to see that Simon Furman got into the Top 20 and that Bob Budiansky wasn't in the Bottom 10.
