Default Are you ready for DOTM?

Just a simple topic to monitor how keen you are to see DOTM when it comes out? How many times will you see it?

I'm not really keen. Probably just see it once. I love the look of the robots and such, but after watching ROTF (which I found to be incredibly boring and stupid towards the last half) I'm just too scarred to watch it again. I only watched it again once on DVD but I didn't even pay full attention then. At least my 11 year old cousin is keen to watch it, he would have expected me to go see it more than once.

I saw the first one once in cinemas, and the second one once in cinemas. I'll see this once. Which doesn't mean I'm not excited, that's just how I roll.

I can wait til they come out on DVD for subsequent viewings.

The last thing I saw more than once at the movies was Casino Royale and even then that was by accident.
I'm really just here for the free food and open bar.

Well, I'm pumped and can't wait because this is going to be the last one in quite some time and from the looks of the figures, as I've not ventured into the Spoiler ridden Movie Section of the boards , things are going to be quite interesting and action packed! - If the teasers are anything to go by anyway.

    '07: Cinemas x3, DVD x25
    ROTF: Cinemas x2, DVD x17
DOTM: (Proposed) Cinemas x2, DVD - When it's done.

I've thoroughly enjoyed every movie thus far and quite look forward to seeing how they handle the adjustment from Megan to Rosey amongst quite a few other things.

Excitement factor? Pretty excited - the one cinematic release this year that I am eagerly anticipating, however time will tell.

I watched the original movie in the cinema three times (that's how much I enjoyed it) and bought it not only on DVD, but also HD-DVD & Blu Ray (needless to say, I've watched it numerous times since then).

    Total viewing = 10+

As for ROTF, one viewing in the cinema was all I could tolerate. I ended up getting it as a gift on Blu Ray and have only watched it once since then.

    Total viewing = 2

DOTM? Depends on how crap (or how good it is). Will watch it in the cinema at least one and at least once on Blu Ray so we'll see if it gets more views than ROTF (after all, it can't be any worse, hopefully).

I wont be in a natively English-speaking country when it comes out so I will have to wait a few weeks before I come home and can see it. Which means I will have to isolate myself from this board and possibly the Internet altogether!

Paulbot: they should still screen it in English with subtitles -- I recommend you watch it in a local cinema. Hopefully the subtitles will be inside the black "letterbox" beneath the image so that it doesn't actually obscure any of the visuals (and makes the print easier to read anyway). Depends on whether or not they want to write the subtitles horizontally or vertically - if it's vertical then that might partially obscure one side of the screen. Maybe inquire with some people living there as to how subtitles are usually printed on foreign movies in that region. I'll be in a non-English speaking country when Thor comes out, so I'll let you know how the subs were positioned.

I've lost count of the number of times I've watched TF and ROTF on DVD. But as far as cinemas are concerned:
Transformers: x3 - once at the Fox Studios premiere, once at the Sydney movie meet, once with the wife
Revenge of the Fallen: x3 - once at the IMAX premiere, once at Reading Cinema with dirge, once at the drive-in with the wife and bub

I saw Transformers 3 times at the movies and ROTF twice. I don't know how many times I've watched them on dvd countless times. Originally I wasn't that excited about DOTM. I knew a third one was coming and thought yeah great. The name "Dark of the Moon" made me totally loose my interest as I thought it was a stupid name. The first trailer didn't do much to reignite my interest... Then I saw the the superbowl and daytona spots and... I am so freaking excited. I can't wait.

I saw the first movie twice at cinemas. I remember feeling dissapointed, it didn't live up to m expectations. I've watched it on DVD numerous times though. This one time I went through and time how much screen time Transformers got, not including scenes with Scorponock and Frenzy. It worked out to be about 35 minutes from a 2 hour movie. I undertand to a degree why this was so but still pathetic.

I saw ROTF once at the movies and again on DVD numerous times. I was touched by Primes death and outraged when they dropped his body onto the tarmac. The jokes were bad. I really loved it. But as time went on things in the movie (2 dogs humping, Dev scrotum and any scene with Agent Simmons) started to S*@% me. Was all that nessecary?

I'm pumped for DOTM but will probably only see it once. The previews i've seen look awesome. I'm hoping less stupid humour and more Transformer time. And a reduction in Prime speeches, less talk more shoot!

Sadly I had only seen the first 2 at the cinemas once each. First one was at the Drive-in, then the second one was at Imax. Wonder if I will see this next one at somewhere special as well?

Haven't really watched em much on DVD either. I have too many movies

I'll be watching it on day one in a Gold Class cinema with a big group of mates. It comes out on my Birthday so this'll count as my celebration!
