In HK, Strafe/Highbrow/Grapple etc are avaliable in many places and even Toys R Us reduced the price to $186HKD (about $25AUD).
Grapple is great, rest... meeehhh

If you're referring to RTS (not HFTD), then they've actually been selling quite well - they're just on clearance because the local retailers are making way for DOTM toys.

As for HK, of course they wouldn't move and would need to be marked down - who the hell would buy a Hasbro toy when you can get the TakTomy version quite as easily and for not much more money?

Yeah but in HK most regular retail stores (e.g. dept. stores) primarily stock Hasbro toys, which is what most kids would get and are much easier to find. Hasbro toys are a LOT easier to find in HK than TakaraTOMY ones -- I don't know where people are finding TakaraTOMY toys in HK, cos when I go shopping there I mostly find Hasbro toys. Are they specialist toy stores? Cos regular dept stores like Jusco typically stock Hasbro stuff -- you get a few Takara toys in (e.g. Pepsi Convoy), but I suspect that might be a special import done through Hasbro HK.

There are tons of specialist toy shops here. Tons. Off the top of my head, I can think of at least 3 buildings where every single floor and every single shop is a specialist toy shop.

Collectors hardly shop at retail and it used to be the case that for Hasbro stuff, you can actually get it cheaper at specialist stores (1999 - 2009 thereabouts). Now there is a trend reversal where retail is actually cheaper, so the locals only go to retail stores like SOGO, Justco, TRU etc to scalp and resell at higher prices in the specialist stores.
