    Default Speculation about DOTM toy prices in Australia (no spoilers)

    In the US, the RRP for DOTM toy prices have been given as
    • Ultimate $80 USD
    • Leaders $40 USD
    • Voyager $19 USD
    • Deluxe $12 USD
    • Commander $8 USD
    • Legion $5 USD

    Locally Big W has started to list these toys in their computers, with KaRNiV8L PRiME cryptically telling us

    Christalcase has now seen MV3 shelf tags at Kmart stores, with much lower prices than any of us would expect.

    Since the Australia dollar has been stronger than the US dollar for a while now, perhaps our discount department stores have been able to buy new product at much lower cost, and they are actually passing on the savings to their floors?

    Time to speculate!

    My guess...
    • Ultimate $90 AUD (Kmart shelftag)
    • Leaders $60-$70 AUD (Guess)
    • Voyager $30 AUD (Kmart shelftag)
    • Deluxe $16 AUD (Kmart shelftag)
    • Commander $10-12 AUD (Guess)
    • Legion $6 AUD (Guess, no change...)

    If this is legit, it'll be a wet dream come true to be even CLOSE to US pricing

    My guesstimates on the Hasbro RRP:

    Ultimate: $99.99
    Leader: $79.99
    Voyager: $32.99
    Deluxe: $16.99
    Commander: $11.99
    Legion: $6.99

    Also, I wonder what it means by "Voyager Deluxe 2PK"

    While this would be cool I can't help but hear "tell him he's dreaming" in the back of my head.

    Still we can always hope, certainly those price tags do look convincing.

    My guess:

    • Ultimate $80 USD ---> $100 AUD
    • Leaders $40 USD ---> $70 AUD
    • Voyager $19 USD ---> $30 AUD
    • Deluxe $12 USD ---> $18 AUD
    • Commander $8 USD ---> $12 AUD
    • Legion $5 USD ---> $7 AUD

    As long as the prices haven't gone up, I'm happy.

    just speculating but we will not get any kick back from the strong $AUD. All size classes will be same as last movie. Commander is new scout class. We might/should see prices reduced as an introductry offer

    That is true, but in name only unfortunately.
    It has already been proven that the actual sizes of each class of figure have indeed been slightly scaled down, here is a video review of DOTM Voyager Ironhide with comparison to ROTF Ironhide.

    Perhaps this explains the difference in prices?

    Fairer prices for DOTM toys? I'll believe that when I see it.

    Pretty much my sentiments, as much as I want to believe it...
