Imagine, Arcee with Daniel, Bumblebee with Spike, Starscream with Doctor Arkeville. Yes I know the third one has already been made as in MP, but what about a figure with poseability? I wonder if Hasbro has already considered this idea yet...

YES!!!
I was actually thinking about this after I got Backfire w/ Spike.
(Great minds think alike and fools seldom differ)
It'd be an intriguing proposal, but I fear that it might inadvertently cause the Robot to suffer engineering wise.
I'm willing to accept that Classicsverse figures are all going to be Deluxe figures now, but anything less than that would suck IMO, especially if they're sacrificed for figures of characters it seems a lot of people dislike or could care less about.
Now, if we're talking about Voyager class (Pre-DOTM Mass-wise) Human Alliance figures, then I'd be very willing to reconsider.

I'm not a fan of any of the HA toys and fail to see the appeal behind them.
Having said that though, if they did a HA Generations line, I'd most likely buy them - only because they're Generations (Classicverse), not for the novelty of an included human character action figure.
I like them because it's a chance to own human characters. And I like the idea of making them interactive with Transformers and giving them some articulation to make them meaningful action figures, even if they are small. I would ideally love to see 10cm figures in scale with G.I. Joe, Star Wars and Microman (much like say Kicker and Gamede), but I guess there isn't enough interest from TF consumers to justify that -- with Kicker it was different because that toy coincided with the 30th anniversary of Microman, and Gamede is of course a limited exclusive (and again, a Microman -- even canonically he's from the Microverse!).
But the Transformers that came with the RotF HA line didn't interest me because I already had the Deluxe versions and they weren't "to scale" with other "mainstream" TF toys. Also, because the human figures were to scale with HA, they looked out of scale with other movie TFs... e.g. HA Sam looks oversized when next to Deluxe Bumblebee.
The thing I like with the Basic HAs is:
+ The humans are smaller and more in scale with "mainstream" Transformers.
+ The Transformers that they come with are original characters, and not 'repeats' of existing characters.
+ Figures are well articulated and can interact with their TF counterparts.
What if the human characters were from G1? e.g. Spike, Sparkplug, Carly, Daniel, Melissa Fairborne, Doc Arkeville etc.?Originally Posted by Vector Prime
Of course I suppose the downside to having these articulated human figures is either the price goes up for the toy, or the engineering level goes down. Or both! (-_-)
hmmm maybe then Hasbro can then reissue a proper sized Powerglide with whatsername spoiled brat girl who destroys mechanical things
Reissue Generations Ratchet with Sparkplug Witwicky - since both of em end up being the repair team in G1 anyways
Or maybe they can just issue out 5 packs or 4 pack or even 2-pack of purely human companions, kinda like minicons. Id buy it!
Wanted AM partner Vanguard, Myclones Dirge, G1 Victory Leo, e-hobby Dark scream ( the black version), e-hobby Magnificus
Parts- AM partner Basher-side guns, G1 Actionmaster Elite Windmill's blades[I][B]
The whole reason why I'm not a fan of HA is simply because I like the Transformers themselves (ie.the actual bots) and I couldn't give a hoot about the human characters in the various canons, so it wouldn't matter if they were G1 or otherwise.
I suppose for you (where 'play-value' is important), I can see the appeal - but for me, I'd much prefer they spent the money on additional accessories for the bot or superior paint apps.
It has been and always will be about the bots for me!
I generally agree with you. Hpwever given that I am on a limited budget at the moment I prefer the look of the HA wreckers as opposed to the deluxe size so I will be getting HA in this instance. Like you I don't care for the humans... infact I lost my HA Sam from ROTF... Maybe my son has it somewhere... Oh well
HATRED FOR JAMES VAN DER BEEK RISING!

I think the majority of TF consumers care a lot more for the robots than humans, even most other players. I know I'm in a small minority who would like to see human action figures -- so I don't blame Hasbro for not making them. Before HA came along, I always used Lego people as my default humans... so yeah, growing up with G1 Spike, Buster, Sparkplug etc. were all Lego men.Even my Nebulans... if I played stories when they would be out of their armour, then I used Lego men. Once they 'suited up,' then I subsituted them for their actual TF figures.
I'd accept small unarticulated PVC figurines (or "Inaction Figures" as some call them)... I was pretty happy getting Spike and Daniel as part of SCF and HoC... though I wish Spike was in a neutral pose instead of the "hi there!" pose. (-_-)
Hey, Daniel shouldn't be wearing an exo-suit in that scene!
So I like HA because it gives us articulated action figures for the humans, making people like me happy - but at the same time they come with Transformers, which ought to make others happy. And there are some collectors who only wanted to robots, which worked for me because I would buy off their human figurines, or in cases I bought HA TFs, kept the humans, and sold off the robots at a cheaper price to people who only cared for the 'bots. A win-win situation (although the humans worked out pretty expensive for me).
I like the Basic HAs because since the robots are unique/new characters, I'm more compelled to keep them. For example, when toys like DotM Roadbuster comes out, I don't have any urge to get the robot, but if anyone wants to make a bit of money and sell me the human, I'll take it... assuming that character appears in the movie.
The other alternative is to do what Takara(TOMY) did with Binaltech Asterisk and KISS Players; have the humans as inaction figures... that way they can interact as drivers (or swap parts to have them in a different pose) - but because they're not articulated action figures, they can afford to keep the price down and not sacrifice engineering for the robots. I honestly wouldn't mind that either -- it'd be cool to have an inaction figure of say G1 pre-movie Spike that could fit inside Bumblebee etc.
So I like how HA means that I don't have to keep substituting movie humans Lego men or non-movie TF human figurines like this:
