Thats true. I watched it in the cinema then bought the dvd when it came out and was just meh? In the cinema it did creep me out... but then I'm not the best to watch scary movies with

    Ha, lol!

Just got a hold of Tucker & Dale vs. Evil, I thought it looked quite good.

Oh and Hursti, I know you're not the biggest fan of dubstep but thought you might like to check this out as it's a tribute to Leather Face/TCM: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ogdRXnjHzR8
Oops, my bad. Got The Mist confused with John Carpenters (and subsequent remake) The Fog.

The mist is a nice movie.

I agree Skywarp, I love the horror genre but this kind of exploitative rubbish is the product of a warped mind imo. To think that a sequel was made too is just beyond...

fatbot, you're a legend! I knew there was a movie by the director of Frozen I wanted to see...And Hatchet is it! Marathon is looking good at this stage, haha

Did anyone go and see the 2011 remake of The Thing? John Carpenters version is my favourite movie of all time (got to watch it on the big screen last year at Brisbane's GOMA, was such a thrill) and while I knew this couldn't compete, nothing could prepare me for how bad this new remake/prequel really is!

A few people have mentioned The Last Exorcism. I enjoyed this and thought it started off well but they seemed to run out of ideas near the end. I think The Exorcism of Emily Rose is a much tighter movie overall, absolutely loved that one!

Awww, come on... the first couple of Hellraiser's were no walk in the park either. Just don't have anything to eat before you watch it

    F*** Yeah - Hellraiser!
(Coincidently, an awesome song by Lemmy and Ozzy too! )

I saw Human Centipede and forced my Brother and parents to watch it, needless to say my privilege to choose movies has since been revoked but I thought it was utterly hilarious.
Indeed, the subject matter and visuals are pretty full-on but the movie achieves it's desired effect - There are worse movies.
