He also has different stickers too. Not a bad toy, just very brick-esque. I think that's the charm with him. I'd love a Classics repaint into that colour scheme.

Apart from all of the purple he's pretttttty close (I'm sure you knew of this toy though)

My favourite tank Megatron mould would be 1994's Hero Megatron - even if he is purple with a fluro orange air pump! He's like a smaller version of 1993 G2 Megatron, only with an articulated robot mode (making that toy a pioneer of articulated Transformer action figures).

Ultimate Battle Megatron does have nicer colours, but mouldwise it's not as neat as Hero Megatron - I mean, in context of their vintage. UB Megatron is a fairly ordinary figure by 2006 standards (the lack of a right hand and the way the gun-hand falls out so easily is disappointing, though the rest of the toy is fairly nice), whereas Hero Megatron was just an outstanding piece of engineering by 1994 standards -- among the first of a new breed of articulated TF action figures that we take for granted today.

And as weird as it looks, the air pump launcher gimmick is pretty fun. (although the pump and hose can sometimes be cumbersome) THOOMP!

NOT ACCURATE ENOUGH!!!! I want fluro green with purple "glam-oflage" G2 Represent. Since that mold first came out that's what I've been wanting. I'm a sick sad man.

He wasn't fluro green in the bulk of his canonical appearance though -- although he did still have his purple "glamouflage" (ah that Cobra Commander... always the prankster! ) And to be fair he was bright green in his early canonical appearance (during the GI Joe crossover, his green darkened when it switched to pure G2 Transformers)

In any case, Megastorm =/= Megatron. He's a completely different character being a Predacon from Beast Wars with different colours... he lacks the purple glamouflage! Megastorm's camo decos are a more sensible/realistic brown! (gasp!) And he has that neat super hero "mask" around his eyes, à la The Incredibles! (heheh) Check out the underside of Megastorm where Takara have placed a massive sticker to cover up the battery compartment! (lulz)

That mold's biggest appeal was it's awesome electronics. I love G2 Megs for that alone as he is a brick

    A HUGE congratulations mate!
Haha, thanks dude! You're in luck too, the ebay seller listed more of these for two dollars less than what I paid.

Also, nice haul man! Your pics of BWII BB and starscream make them look mighty tempting, so shiny and pretty! I love how BB has "FOR STARSCREM" printed on what looks like his arm? They're bros alright.

thanks... yep only Ravage remains I can settle for the Tripredacus agent ( black repaint of TM2 Cheetor if that would be cheaper as it is still Ravage, but if I get a chance for the X9 well why not, after him, it's complete showcast.
Ah excellent, glad to hear man; I reckon you shouldn't settle for second best man, grab yourself an X9 so you've got the best of the best but also so I've got someone to share in my sorrows after forking out such a hefty sum for the figure when I get myself one.

Hehe, cheers man; As it stands, I'm going after the unique molds of both of the Japanese Beast Wars series and once I've made that milestone I'll look at starting to actually complete Neo and II - The vast majority of both lines though are comprised of repaints really, some good and some bad but it gives me a prolonged journey in collecting Beast Wars figures for a while yet.

Ooh! - I know of a set that you've got that I'll be after, but what else may lie ahead?

    Hmm...,
If he can hold out until after the Parra Fair this weekend then I might have to give that a shot!

I've always loved the molds that BB and Starscream use, the G2 Dreadwing & Smokescreen molds, ever since I was a kid but these days I've found the original G2 iterations to be prohibitively expensive ; The fact that the molds were reused in Beast Wars II and that a really good South Korean seller I'd dealt with before had the pair MISB for a bloody good price? , I just couldn't turn them down as I think the colours used on BB and Starscream work extremely well and with the little details, like the Predacon Insignia on Starscream's head crest and "For Starscream" written on BB's arms (He really is dedicated to Starscream huh? ), I'd say definitely give them your consideration.
