Not that I have anything against the people that are hoping for a re-release of this, I would like to think that I get something a little extra for jumping on the preorder bandwagon for this other than an inflated shipping cost.

They stated on their website that this would be limited to only 800 units, and while this was in all likelyhood because they only made 800 in case it flopped and didn't sell, that's the only thing that made me bite, the fact that I might miss out.

But meh, like I said, I don't want anyone to miss out who wants it.

Picked up my SteelCore from the post office today. I was order number 352 and is was posted on the 17th, arrived on the 27th but I didn't get to pick it up until today. While it hasn't been that long since release, I think that FPC have handled the delivery situation poorly. The lack of communication is quite disappointing and the post they placed on their website while I believe was an attempt to explain the situation with a bit of light humour, all it succeeded in doing was give the impression that good customer service is not at the top of their priority list.

But on to my opinion, annnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnd, I have to agree with the general consensus and say this is an excellently designed and executed figure! He looks great and has so much posability it makes some modern HasTak TFs seem like G1 toys. He is really solid and transforms simply (compared to Defender) but well. Steel, (the little fella) is pretty cool and while less articulated then Sidearm, is still an impressive little figure.

The one issue I have, and this is a minor gripe more than anything else, is that the gun fits awfully snugly into his hand. A lot of massaging needs to be done to get it out.

And I am confident that their is going to be some sort of trailer. You can clearly see the hitch on the back of the alt mode, it is actually part of the gun, similar to RTS Prime, and as you are probably aware the trailer is in the comic. So can't wait for that!

Overall though well worth the money and the wait. So for those of you still waiting, it shouldn't be long now!!

The most impressive aspect I found about this fig over FP's last releases (FP Insecticons) was the ball joints on the figure. Very tough plastic with an interesting sandy texture to it. Perhaps to increase friction and prolong its play-life? A nice touch

Steel is one tough nugget. I definitely was using more force than normal for moving his legs joints. Probably about the same force needed to take apart two pieces of Lego?

I had the same thing with my fig. I think its standard because if you look into the hollow of the fist in the light, the hole is not a perfect cylinder on both fists - it inclines inwards towards the top of the fist. I guess they wanted to make sure the weapon was a good fit.

The comic was quite a tease, and considering that Steelcore is quite a lanky fellow, perhaps the trailer can do a City Commander/God Bomber parts-form transformation??? Do it FP! Send our imaginations to shame!

    Default FansprojectCore

An interesting update from FPC regarding the future direction of their operations. No further talk of international shipping, but I like the sound of more exclusives

Well, it certainly clarifies the relationship between FansProject & FansProjectCore - Interesting to learn that FPC is actually based in the States, I'd always assumed that they were a Hong Kong outfit.

The English used by FPC made me suspect they were based in the US rather than Hong Kong, as Hong Kong style English is usually a little "odd" (not that I'm saying there aren't exceptions).
