FoC arrived today. With my September chock-a-block with weddings, reporting and accreditation, I don't like my chances of playing it until the spring holidays!

The ratchet and Clank collection arrived as well, this too will be competing for my precious time!

Not quite a "video game" acquisition per se, however, the money I've saved due to a lack of Transformers has allowed me to buy this lot. Transformers: FOC is downloading on Steam as we speak.

Randomly checked a shop and found this little gem.

An interesting game that I had heard is rather derided by fighting fans. So I had to check it out. It is rather amusing and an eclectic mix of characters and each plays similar to their own game style. SO SF2 Characters play with SF2 mechanics, Vamp Sav. with theirs etc etc. the re-use the sprites as well it seems, Vampire Saviour showing it's age somewhat. Althought he Spirtes for the SF2 Characters aren't actually from SF2, they tend to use the SFAlpha sprites. Which is odd, as SFAlpha is a game type in there.

Anyway, the best part is Dimitri from Vamp Sav is there and his Midnight Bliss move is there as well. It's brill coz it does this. (please excuse dodgy photo of TV. haven't worked out a good screen shot technique yet.)

    Dimitri Vs Guile.

Dimitri Vs Guile - Dimitri has just connected with Midnight Bliss.

    Ha ha ha ha!

Were some of the SF sprites in CFJ from the Capcom vs SNK series?
Even then only a few were redone for that IIRC... either way can't wait to have a go on that one!
With SF The Movie The Game also on our playlist, it can't be the worst fighting game of the day

Aaah, could well be. Zangief is his Alpha sprite, but Ryu, Chunners and Guile look too detailed for alpha, but not enough for 3rd strike, So I would say they are CvSNK. Chunners does change into her Alpha pants when Dimitri does his Bliss. She also goes chibi occasionally.

It'll likely run like a dream too with that rig you've been putting together.

Mate, it absolutely SMASHES Battlefield 3. Running everything on Ultra and it's smooth as silk. Having not seen BF3 prior to this, I'm astounded at the visual quality, it's like seeing Soul Calibur for the first time on Dreamcast. Simply awesome!

Latest (and probably final for a while, lol) purchase for the ol' PC gaming experience is this Leopold FC700R tenkeyless mechanical keyboard with brown switches and custom wasd and esc key/s. After using this thing at work all day and tonight with BF3, I can safely say I won't be using normal crappy rubber domed keyboards ever again if I can help it. Mechanical keyboards FTMFW!!
