G2 Laser Optimus Prime is a fantastic toy! 1994-95 was the time when Transformers just started getting into the territory of being articulated action figures -- Combat Hero Optimus Prime was the first fully articulated transformable Optimus Prime toy, but then G2 Laser Prime came along and blew it out of the water! Aside from being an awesome figure, it's also a great playset with the trailer-base. ;D The LED laser gimmick works well in the toy too -- a great example of a gimmick that enhances the toy rather than compromising its engineering (something that some modern day TFs could stand to learn a thing or two about).

I don't have the reissue, but it looks pretty sweet w/ the chrome.
