custom voyager G1 Megatron IDW-style

I used a RTS Strafe for this. Modifications included cutting off the cockpit daggers and glueing them to his feet, trimming the wing edges, cutting the wings off their hinges (they clip on in jet mode), cutting the rear tail fins off and replacing Strafe's head with a KO classics Megatron head.

Handpainting the purple details was a pain.




I glued some pins on to his forearm and drilled some holes in the base of his wings. They clip on to form his cannon. I would have liked to do another side but it wasn't thick enough. His feet are a bit elfin but there's not a lot I could do about it. I was going to paint his hands grey but liked them red. They complement the cockpit halves on his feet (and black and red look good together)

Strafe's neck ended in a ball joint. The Megatron head also had a ball joint. I cut both ball joints off, cleared some space in Megstron's head to fit a screw head, drilled a hole in the stump of Strafe's neck and screwed it on.

Agreed! That's one fine custom. The only thing if do differently is paint his hands black or a dark shade.
